Your donations make what we do possible and we are grateful for them. We accept a wide variety of home furnishings and will work to find someone that needs them. All items need to be in usable condition.

Imagine you have arrived at the house or apartment where you will be living. Moving was easy, because all you have are the clothes you are wearing and a few personal items. What furnishings would you need to make the place a home? In general, those are the things we accept.

How to DonateMaking a donation starts with filling out the contact form below. We will get in touch with you within a week to schedule a time for us to pickup your donation or for you to drop it off. We can pick up your donation if it is within roughly 15 miles of Grinnell. If it is outside of that, or you would prefer it, we would be happy for you to drop it off. See our map for details.
We are a volunteer-based ministry, so your date will depend on the availability of our volunteers. Pictures will be needed of the items to put on our website. If you are unable to take them, we can send someone to you or have our moving team take them. Our storage space is limited so you may be asked to hold the items for a time. If we have picked up your items and they have been in storage for a while, we may decide to sell them to help fund our ministry. At your request, we will provide a written acknowledgement of your donation that may be used at tax time. We are in need of additional volunteers. Let us know if you would like to help.
