Furnishings We Accept

Your donations make what we do possible and we are grateful for them. We accept a wide variety of home furnishings and will work to find someone that needs them. All items need to be in usable condition.

We accept:

All types of furniture
Decorative items
Bedding

We do not accept:

Clothing
Food
Small kitchen appliances
Dishes and silverware
Kitchen utensils
Pots and Pans, Casserole dishes
Large appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers

Imagine you have arrived at the house or apartment where you will be living. Moving was easy, because all you have are the clothes you are wearing and a few personal items. What furnishings would you need to make the place a home? In general, those are the things we accept.

How to Donate

Making a donation starts with filling out the contact form below. We will get in touch with you within a few days to schedule a time for us to pickup your donation or for you to drop it off. We can pick up your donation if it is within roughly 15 miles of Grinnell. If it is outside of that, or you would prefer it, we would be happy for you to drop it off. See our map for details.

We are a volunteer-based ministry, so your date will depend on the availability of our volunteers..

At your request, we will provide a written acknowledgement of your donation that may be used at tax time.

We are in need of additional volunteers. Let us know if you would like to help.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
